Education Specialist
Job Purpose
To design, develop and deliver effective education solutions that will enable our Customers to maximize their investment in Mimecast and drive continuous adoption of new Mimecast products and features. To ensure that Mimecast staff and Mimecast Reseller Channel Partners are well educated on Mimecast and the market we operate in, and are able to articulate Mimecast Service concepts and features, enabling them to be effective in their roles.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Be an active member of the Education Team contributing to, and executing on, strategies that maximize the team's value to the business
- Work closely with Mimecast's engineering, support and marketing teams to understand, document and communicate new and existing product features
- Develop and deliver content for Mimecast's global Customer, Partner and Staff skills assessment, training and certification program
- Develop and communicate training course schedules and participate in managing the overall booking process
- Assist in the delivery of Mimecast's scheduled online customer training program – as well as supporting occasional demand for face to face training
- Participate in the creation and maintenance of Mimecast knowledge base content including product documentation, best practice guidelines and service release notes
- Develop and maintain online education tools including video tutorials and self-paced training modulesAssist in the development and administration of Mimecast's global Learner Management System (LMS)
- Participate in the creation of video content to support sales and marketing activity
- Moderate and contribute articles for the Mimecast Community forum
Person Specification
Essential
- Excellent skills in communicating ideas both verbally and in written form in a clear, concise and professional manner
- Proven track record of successfully educating technical and non-technical audiences through on-line and face-to-face delivery
- Experience in writing product documentation for administrators and end users
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with cross-functional teams
- Extremely strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent English language skills
Desirable
- In depth knowledge of Adobe Technical Communications Suite: Adobe Framemaker, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Captivate, Adobe RoboHelp
- Extensive use of Microsoft Office tools – especially Word and PowerPoint
- Previous experience delivering education services for Business-to-Business IT solutions, preferably for a cloud service provider
- Good understanding of the fundamentals of Email network infrastructure
- Knowledge of Mimecast Services
